Today, we raise our cups to one of Kenya’s most celebrated global exports — tea. As the world marks International Tea Day, Kenya proudly stands as the world’s largest exporter of black tea, with Kenyan tea gracing tables and warming hearts from the Gulf to every corner of the globe. Here in the UAE, Kenyan tea remains a cherished part of daily life, a quiet testament to the enduring trade ties between our two nations.

From the mist-covered highlands of Kericho, Nandi and Nyeri, every cup tells a story of dedication, heritage and excellence. Today, we honour the farmers, workers and exporters whose hands bring this liquid gold to the world — and we celebrate the growing Kenya-UAE partnership that continues to open new doors for Kenyan produce under our landmark CEPA framework.

The Consulate General of Kenya in Dubai, together with the Kenya Embassy in Abu Dhabi, hosted a vibrant Networking Reception for the Kenyan business community in the UAE.

H.E. Amb. Kenneth Nganga of Kenya Embassy Abu Dhabi applauded the community for boldly investing in the UAE, emphasizing that the success of Kenyans in the diaspora continues to play a vital role in strengthening Kenya’s economy through remittances.

H.E. Consul General Jayne Toroitich — “The foundation has been laid. What is critical now is how we build on it. Remain engaged, step forward, and contribute to shaping a Council that will be impactful.”
