The Emirates Drug Establishment announces the recall of the insecticide products Goodbye all insect max kills in one spray and Goodbye all insect spray, manufactured by SCITRA, due to non-compliance with the Establishment’s regulatory requirements, approved standards and specifications. The Establishment urges consumers to stop using, purchasing or distributing these products.

His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the employment of 717 Emiratis in the Sharjah Government. The new employees will join 633 UAE nationals who were recruited into government positions during the first five months of 2026.
Training programme for job seekers approved
His Highness also approved the Sharjah Programme for the Qualification and Training of Job Seekers, which will run from June to November 2026.
The programme will benefit 410 UAE nationals, each of whom will receive a monthly allowance of AED 6,000. The total cost of the programme amounts to AED 14.76 million.
Announcement made on direct line programme
The approvals were announced by Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Human Resources, during a phone interview on the “Direct Line” programme, broadcast on Sharjah Radio and Television.

UAE’s annual textile waste is estimated at 220,000 tonnes and the “Naseej” initiative aims to enhance resource efficiency, strengthen recycling, and promote responsible and conscious consumption.

His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, attended the graduation ceremony of the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) at the University of the Art Sharjah – Class of 2026 – on Sunday morning. The ceremony, held at the university theatre, celebrated the graduation of 52 students.

Dubai Police have identified and dismantled an eight-member gang, including a woman, who stole luxury oud worth AED12 million from a merchant using an elaborate ruse involving a fake princess and a staged VIP reception. Four suspects were arrested and the stolen oud was recovered within 12 hours of the crime. Red Notices have been issued for the remaining four suspects, including the woman who impersonated a princess during the robbery. The gang tricked the merchant into believing a princess wanted to buy a large quantity of oud, replaced the oud with ordinary wood, and then disappeared.
