What does it take to keep humanitarian aid moving in an increasingly complex world?

During the Members’ Global Meeting 2026, the panel discussion “Dubai Humanitarian: Between Today and Tomorrow” brought together representatives from Dubai Customs جمارك دبي, Emirates, Air Charter Service, and UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency to exchange perspectives on operational resilience, humanitarian supply chains, preparedness, and the coordination needed to respond effectively during crises.

The discussion reflected how resilience is built through preparedness, cross-sector collaboration, and the ability to explore every opportunity and do what is needed to keep operations moving during times of crisis.

كيف يمكن ضمان استمرارية العمل الإنساني في عالم يشهد تحديات ومتغيرات متسارعة؟

ضمن الاجتماع العالمي السنوي لأعضاء دبي الإنسانية 2026، جمعت الجلسة الحوارية «دبي الإنسانية: بين اليوم والغد» ممثلين من جمارك دبي، وطيران الإمارات، وشركة ACS، والمفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين، لتبادل الرؤى حول المرونة التشغيلية، وسلاسل الإمداد الإنسانية، والجاهزية، وأهمية التنسيق خلال الأزمات.

وسلّطت الجلسة الضوء على أن المرونة لا تتحقق دون الجاهزية المسبقة، والتعاون بين مختلف القطاعات، والقدرة على استكشاف كل الفرص الممكنة لضمان استمرارية العمليات الإنسانية خلال الأزمات.

Dubai Humanitarian held today its annual Members’ Global Meeting, bringing together its global network of members, partners, and stakeholders.

Together, we reflected on the year behind us, but also looked ahead at the evolving realities of humanitarian work, the resilience, and the partnerships that continue to make impact possible.

Another collaboration with the American University in Dubai, bringing youth and industry leaders together to raise awareness around the model of Dubai Humanitarian and its Global Humanitarian Impact Fund (GHIF).

Through the Dubai Humanitarian Showcase 2026, students developed creative campaign concepts, transforming ideas into real impact.

Supported by RK Group the initiative reflects a shared commitment to empowering the next generation and connecting academic learning with purpose-driven action.

تعاون جديد مع الجامعة الأمريكية في دبي، يجمع الشباب وقادة في مجال الأعمال والتسويق لرفع الوعي حول نموذج دبي الإنسانية وصندوق الأثر الإنساني العالمي التابع لها.

وبدعم من مجموعة آر كي، تعكس هذه المبادرة التزاماً مشتركاً بتمكين الجيل القادم وربط التعلّم الأكاديمي بالجهود الهادفة، حيث عمل الطلاب على تطوير مفاهيم إبداعية لحملات توعوية تحوّل الأفكار إلى أثر حقيقي.

Registrations are now open for the Certified Humanitarian Procurement Professional course, at our Knowledge and Development Centre in Dubai Humanitarian.

Delivered in partnership with Help Logistics and the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), the programme offers a comprehensive learning experience designed to enhance procurement expertise within humanitarian operations.

Please note that the training may be shifted to an online format if required. In such case, it will be delivered over 6 sessions, each lasting 4 hours per day.

At Dubai Humanitarian, this is reflected in our work as part of an integrated system supporting humanitarian efforts through collaboration and shared responsibility.

"Dubai Humanitarian remained fully operational and has not stopped the humanitarian activities despite the challenges imposed by the current developments and critical situation.

(...) The humanitarian supply chain is impacted by the conflict and is facing delays and rising costs due to war risk insurance and fuel constraints on humanitarian organisations, already suffering from funding cuts," said Giuseppe Saba, CEO and Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian.

"However, despite all challenges, from a logistics perspective we are able to find alternative solutions,” he said, saying the work was enabled by close co-ordination with partners including DP World, Dubai Customs and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, alongside the private sector, including Emirates SkyCargo.
