The story of a blind girl

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her, “Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?”

The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him. Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying:

“Just take care of my eyes dear.”

This is how human brain changes when the status changed. Only few remember what life was before, and who’s always been there even in the most painful situations.

Life Is A Gift

Today before you think of saying an unkind word–
think of someone who can’t speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food–
think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife–
think of someone who is crying out to God for a companion.

Today before you complain about life–
think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children–
think of someone who desires children but they’re barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn’t clean or sweep–
think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive–
think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job–
think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another–
remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down–
put a smile on your face and thank God you’re alive and still around.

Life is a gift – Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, and Fulfill it.

Evening Dinner with a Father
dinnerwithfather
A son took his old father to a restaurant for an evening dinner. Father being very old and weak, while eating, dropped food on his shirt and trousers. Other diners watched him in disgust while his son was calm.
After he finished eating, his son who was not at all embarrassed, quietly took him to the wash room, wiped the food particles, removed the stains, combed his hair and fitted his spectacles firmly. When they came out, the entire restaurant was watching them in dead silence, not able to grasp how someone could embarrass themselves publicly like that. The son settled the bill and started walking out with his father.
At that time, an old man amongst the diners called out to the son and asked him, “Don’t you think you have left something behind?”.
The son replied, “No sir, I haven’t”.
The old man retorted, “Yes, you have! You left a lesson for every son and hope for every father”.
The restaurant went silent.
Moral: To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honors. We all know, how our parents cared for us for every little things. Love them, respect them, and care for them.

The Poor Man’s Wealth
poorman
Ramchand and Premchand were neighbours. Ramchand was a poor farmer. Premchand was a landlord.
Ramchand used to be very relaxed and happy. He never bothered to close the doors and windows of his house at night. He had deep sound sleeps. Although he had no money he was peaceful.
Premchand used to be very tense always. He was very keen to close the doors and windows of his house at night. He could not sleep well. He was always bothered that someone might break open his safes and steal away his money. He envied the peaceful Ramchand.
One day, Premchand call Ramchand and gave him a boxful of cash saying, “Look my dear friend. I am blessed with plenty of wealth. I find you in poverty. So, take this cash and live in prosperity.”
Ramchand was overwhelmingly happy. He was joyful throughout the day. Night came. Ramchand went to bed as usual. But, to-day, he could not sleep. He went and closed the doors and windows. He still could not sleep. He began to keep on looking at the box of cash. The whole night he was disturbed.
As soon as day broke, Ramchand took the box of cash to Premchand. He gave away the box to Premchand saying, “Dear Friend, I am poor. But, your money took away peace from me. Please bear with me and take back your money.”

Moral: Money can not get everything. Learn to be satisfied with what you have and you will always be happy.

Once in a village lived a rich man. He had many slaves and helpers for work. Slaves used to work very hard for master but still master was never happy with their work. Master was very unkind and cruel to them.
One day one of the slave made mistake while cooking food and food got over cooked. When master saw the food he became angry and punished slave. He kept him in a small room and locked it from outside. Somehow slave escaped from that room and ran away.
He went to forest. There he saw a Lion. Instead of getting afraid of lion and run away he went close to lion and saw that lion was injured and one of his leg was bleeding. Slave searched for herbs to cure his wound. Slave took care of lion. After few days lion recovered. Slave and lion became very close friends.

Few days went by but one day servant was caught by master’s guard. Guard took him to master. Slave’s master decided to punish him severely. He asked guards to put him in lion’s cage. Whole village got news about it and came to see.
On the decided day master pushed slave in front of hungry lion. As soon as slave was locked in lion’s cage. Lion came near him and started licking his hand and hugged him. It was the same lion whom slave had helped in forest. Seeing this everyone was surprised. Master thought that slave was a great person that’s why lion didn’t killed him. Master freed slave and made him his friend and started to treat all his servants and slave better.
Moral:
We should try to Help others in their Time of Need and Never be Afraid to Help because sometimes Helping others is like Helping yourself.

Ramadan, the month of solidarity
Ramadan is a month of solidarity, helping each other. In that month, hearts soften, souls broaden, and senses of generosity revive. When the rich get hungry, they understand the conditions and needs of the poor better.
Anas Ibn Malik narrates:
Hz. Muhammad (pbuh) was asked “What fasting is more virtuous?”
He replied, “The one being observed in the month of Shaban for the sake of Ramadan”. He was asked again:
“When is the most virtuous alms given?”

Hz. Muhammad (pbuh) said, “Alms given in the month of Ramadan”. (Bayhaqi, 4:305)
Ramadan is a month of solidarity, helping each other. In that month, hearts soften, souls broaden, and senses of generosity revive. When the rich get hungry, they understand the conditions and needs of the poor better. If it were not for fasting, some rich people who only think of their own interest would not think that the poor needed help and compassion.
Thus, by behaving with compassion towards others, man can open a real door of being thankful. “Everyone can find a needier person than himself in a way. He is responsible for showing compassion to that person.”
It would not be possible to perform the task of helping others with compassion if it were not an obligation to undergo the pain of hunger by fasting. Without knowing about the hunger, man would not be able to develop empathy for the poor and the hungry, and help them. as the Turkish saying goes, “He who does not taste does not know”.
From this point of view, Ramadan is a time in which the poor are given attention and helped; the lonely and the needy are supported. Fasting believers compete with each other in helping the needy, supporting people for whatever they need, and performing all the good deeds.
When helping the needy and giving alms, those helping people get a big pleasure out of it and become very happy and relieved.
Rashid Ibn Sa’d reports the following hadith from Hz. Muhammad (pbuh):
Give as much alms as possible in the month of Ramadan, because giving alms to people in that month is like giving away in the way of Allah. (Kanz al-Ummal, 8:464)

Food and the needy
Have you seen him who belies the rewards and punishments of the Hereafter? He it is who drives away the orphan and does not urge giving away the food of the poor. (107:1 - 3)

Give to the near of kin his due, and also to the needy and the wayfarers. Do not squander your wealth wastefully; for those who squander wastefully are Satan's brothers, and Satan is ever ungrateful to his Lord. (17:26 - 27)

Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah and do not follow up their spending by stressing their benevolence and causing hurt, will find their reward secure with their Lord. They have no cause for fear and grief.1

To speak a kind word and to forgive people's faults is better than charity followed by hurt. Allah is All-Sufficient, All-Forbearing

Believers! Do not nullify your acts of charity by stressing your benevolence and causing hurt as does he who spends his wealth only to be seen by men and does not believe in Allah and the Last Day. The example of his spending is that of a rock with a thin coating of earth upon it: when a heavy rain smites it, the earth is washed away, leaving the rock bare; such people derive no gain from their acts of charity. Allah does not set the deniers of the Truth on the right way. (2:262 - 264)
