NRPB team members took part in this year’s SXM DOET, Sint Maarten’s largest annual volunteer event, organized by the Be The Change Foundation in collaboration with the Oranje Fonds.
Now in its 12th year, SXM DOET is part of an initiative across the Dutch Kingdom encouraging people to get involved in volunteer projects within their communities. In Sint Maarten, projects supported schools, foundations, care organizations, neighborhood initiatives, and community spaces through hands-on activities and community action. This year’s theme, “From Jump Up to Step Up for a Brighter Sint Maarten,” focused on turning community spirit into action.
Volunteers, including members of the NRPB team, spent time on Friday May 15th and Saturday May 16th doing activities including painting, cleaning, gardening, mentoring young people, organizing activities, and supporting community projects across the island
The NRPB positively recognizes the organizers, volunteers, foundations, and community groups who continue to make SXM DOET an fun, impactful and meaningful part of Sint Maarten’s calendar each year.
