🌍 ICMPD held a two-day training in Baghdad on 4–5 October on communication and social media for staff of the Migrant Resource Centres in Baghdad and Basra.
⏩ The 28 participants included representatives from both Baghdad and Basra Governorates, including the Ministry of Migration and Displaced , the Directorate of Youth and Sports, and the Labour and Vocational Training Department.
🔸 The aim was practical: helping teams create and publish content about MRC services using already existing equipment and tools.
→ Day one covered live streaming, presenting on camera and smartphone photography alongside responding to comments and messages, interpreting analytics and planning monthly content.
→ Day two focused on reaching young audiences. Participants explored suitable formats and consistent visual identity, then created posts, stories, reels, and carousels about MRC services. Short theory sessions were followed by hands-on exercises, with participants leaving with ready-to-use materials.
⏩ The training was delivered under the MRAPP project, funded by the Government of the Netherlands.
