Thank you for making our first volunteer day such a great success!
We had a fantastic time today, on such a perfect day too!
- We w**ded all around the banksias
- We topped up mulch around the tree guards
- We thoroughly enjoyed Aisha's donuts and mocktails from Manake Donuts
Thank you Tina for going around and offering your beverages (definitely not moonshine) to everyone!
Looking forward to our next volunteer day on the 4th March!
Thanks again :)

May be aimed for Victoria but the message still applies here in SA!

Please put some water out for the wildlife, a shallow bowl with a stone or stick to ensure bees and butterflies accessing water donβt get stuck in it. We're due for 42 degrees today.

A big thank you to Tina, from across the road from the reserve, for putting out fresh water for local wildlife every summer. It is a simple act that makes a real difference, especially during heatwaves like this week.
If you would like to help too, it is easy:
β’ Place shallow bowls of clean water in shaded areas
β’ Use different heights for birds, animals, and insects
β’ Add a rock or stick so small creatures like bees can safely perch
β’ Refresh the water daily
A small gesture can have a big impact. Thank you Tina for setting a great example for our community.

Might not look like much, but Sandy Beach and I spent a while on Sunday w**ding around the base of the Banksias on Canberra Drive. Forgot to take a before photo, d'oh! But on the bright side, the saplings are thriving and the 2 little ones that are struggling I've been hand watering most days.
If anyone would like to help us finish off the w**ding, please reach out and let us know :)
