I still receive notifications that this page is looked at, which is great!

There's no Barossa Vintage Festival this year but it'll be back in 2027! If you're keen to build your knowledge of this Festival's incredible history before then there's still copies available of this book!

For the month of March, the first three postal orders will receive a copy of the November 2025 edition of Bibliofile (produced by the Friends of the State Library of South Australia) which features an article on the Festival which I was asked to contribute.

It'd make a great gift so think ahead to Mothers Day, birthdays or any special occasion you may have this year.

Hi !

Since I first started this page it has grown very well. I hope you have enjoyed the content from time to time.

I have heard there is an aim to gather past alumni of the Barossa Young Ambassador program together so I'm asking for your help!

I'm just sitting in the background of this project but given all the work I've done and this page and book, it is a good helping starting point.

So if you are reading this, please comment (with your name including maiden and married name for the ladies and the year you were in the program) and tag revelant people too. An email address privately messaged would be helpful too.

Let's see how this goes!

P.S. I created this group in the early days of my project but didn't go too far with it. Maybe join this group and it might be a good tool for the organizers to utilize in gathering everyone together.

Earlier in the year I was approached by Hettie Tinsley, editor of the annual publication Bibliofile to contribute an article on the Barossa Vintage Festival.

Yesterday I met Hettie in person and saw the publication first hand. Each year there is a theme, this year's theme being Groundbreakers. The article I wrote 'The Barossa Vintage Festival - a much loved community event' looks great published along with the imagery.

Bibliofile is a quality publication published by Friends of the State Library of South Australia.

You can support the Friends of the State Library of South Australia by purchasing a copy for $15.

Welcome to Vintage Festival week! There are so many amazing events we can’t wait to open the festival! We also have something a little bit special planned.. tomorrow night at 6:30pm, from Williamstown to Kapunda, Keyneton to Marananga, and all the towns in between, the church bells will ring to mark the beginning of Barossa Vintage Festival!!

Step outside at 6:30pm 22/04 to hear the bells 🙂

Thanks to all of the churches of all the denominations that are ringing in the festival.

Pictured is the Bethany Lutheran Church Bell, made in 1881. It will definitely be ringing :)
