We can help you understand where you need your neighbour’s consent, how costs are shared, how to find where your fence should sit, what to do when your neighbour won’t agree and who is responsible for any damage to the fence.

Police now have expanded stop and search powers in two more SA shopping precincts.

As of midday, if you are in the Ceduna Central Business District or the Murray Bridge Marketplace Shopping Centre, police may stop and search you and your belongings for weapons.

Police may also order you to leave for the purposes of public safety. It is an offence to stay or return within 24 hours if ordered to leave.

This year’s theme, All In, calls on all of us to take meaningful, everyday action towards respect, understanding and equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At Legal Services, we’re committed to being ‘all in’ by:

• strengthening culturally safe legal services

• supporting fair access to justice

• building genuine relationships with community and cultural groups

• standing alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the ongoing journey towards equity

We look forward to seeing you there.

National Sorry Day reminds us to be honest about our history and how the removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children through policy caused deep harm that continues to affect people today.

We acknowledge the strength of Stolen Generation survivors, their families and their communities. Their stories remind us why truth-telling matters and why listening with care is an important part of the healing process.

At Legal Services, we take our responsibility seriously. We are committed to providing legal help that is culturally safe, respectful and accessible.

Today is a time to learn, reflect, and stand together to work toward a fairer and equitable future for all South Australians.
