Don't miss the parade and ceremony as the 11th/28th Battalion, The Royal Western Australia Regiment exercises their right for Freedom of Entry.

The Freedom of Entry to the City of Albany was first granted to the 11th/28th Battalion, The Royal Western Australia Regiment on September 22, 1987.

Freedom of Entry is a ceremonial honour, and is the oldest and one of the highest civic honours bestowed by the citizens of a city, town or regional area on a military unit within the Commonwealth of Nations.

Today the family of BRIG AW Potts donated this framed Australian National Flag to the Kojonup RSL
This flag was flown at the Brigade HQ on the Kokoda track while the Brigade fought a ferocious enemy during the Second World War.
BRIG Potts has been immortalised with a life size bronze statue in Kojonup.
