Green Heart of Arundel

The heart-wrenching reality is unfolding at the former Arundel Hills Country Club precinct. The new owners of this wildlife haven seem to be deliberately driving the area into a state of disrepair.

This deterioration has led to observable negative impacts, including the loss of wildlife and the degradation of infrastructure. A photograph taken today in Jarvis Place documents an incident involving a deceased kangaroo, believed to be a consequence of inadequately managed fencing on the premises.

This Koala was spotted today on the Arundel Hills Country Club Golf Course site.

Developers are wanting to remove these trees in favour of houses. Revised development plans should be available soon to the public.

Again, the developers are engaging the media instead of engaging those who will be impacted by the development.

Canada Place should be renamed Koala Place! 🐨

- Koala 1 was spotted yesterday. Today this Koala has moved over to the next tree.
- Koala 2 was spotted crossing Canada Place in the early hours of the morning.
The 2 Koalas are now within 100 meters of each other.
- 3 Koalas tomorrow? We need to make all Koala habitats 'priority' Koala habitats to strengthen Koala populations of the future.

Arundel is full of wildlife, including a large number of bird species. This male Variegated Fairy-wren was photographed by a local resident on the Arundel Hills Country Club site.
