Honouring and remembering our fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for the Tamil nation. Their courage, dedication, and love for our people will never be forgotten.

This morning, a community flag raising was held in Ken Whillans Square to recognize Tamil Eelam National Flag Day.

The City of Brampton recognizes November 21 as Tamil Eelam National Flag Day, honouring the collective identity of the Eelam Tamil nation and their ongoing resistance to genocide.

We join Brampton’s Tamil community in recognizing this day and celebrating the many contributions of Tamil residents across our city.

Today our Tamil volunteer group Queensland and Tamil Diaspora Association of Queensland INC we together supporting and helping donation to the Britannia community Centre for the people need basic items. We are donation for them. thank you for supporting Rowan holzberger Federal member for forde and our Tamil community.

Back to Bilo is the profoundly moving new play from celebrated local company Belloo Creative (Boy, Lost) made with — and from — the heart of regional Queensland.

Priya and Nades left war-torn Sri Lanka and found each other in regional Queensland. They married, had two daughters, worked hard and settled into a simple but happy country life.

Their community welcomed the new family with open arms — until four years later, after an unexpected knock at the door, they were ripped away in a dawn raid. The family’s story could have ended there, but a brave band of Biloela women weren’t giving up so easily. Fighting alongside the young refugee family, the women launched a grassroots campaign that galvanised hundreds of thousands of ordinary Australians demanding the family be brought back home.

This will be playing at the Billie Brown Theatre, from 3rd to the 16th of September.
