π»πΆπΊ MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC πΊπΆπ»
This week is FANFARE Week for our Instrumental Music students!
Held annually, and alternating between instrumental and choral ensembles, Fanfare celebrates the outstanding music-making taking place in Queensland state schools. It provides students with the opportunity to perform, receive valuable feedback from expert adjudicators, and share their passion for music with others.
Each ensemble performs within its own division, based on the level of music being presented, and is assessed against criteria appropriate to that level. One of the best things about Fanfare is that it is a festival of music, bringing together ensembles from across the Metro South region to perform, listen, learn and celebrate each other's achievements.
If you're free on Wednesday or Thursday, we'd love to see you at CPAC to enjoy the wonderful performances from our own ensembles and visiting schools. The canteen will be open, and there will be a fantastic raffle, thanks to the generous support of the Arts P&C Subcommittee.
We can't wait to showcase our talented musicians and look forward to sharing their results later in the week!

πβοΈβοΈ STUDENT SUCCESS βοΈβοΈπ
Year 12 student Charlotte, who is a part of the Australian Girls Choir, is currently busy on tour visiting remote Australian locations.
After a few days of rehearsals in Broome, Charlotte and her fellow chorists travelled to Bidyadanga, where they were greeted by the Tribal Elders with a smoking ceremony.
The group has been very busy visiting local sites, working with young people and learning how to speak Karrajarri.
What a fantastic opportunity and we can't wait to hear more about Charlotte's travels! πππ

Struggling? Say something. See someone struggling? Say something.
We are not meant to deal with everything in our lives alone.
Every single person needs help sometimes, and right now? Your support might be exactly what someone near you needs.
