There are yet racism in Australia-much more needed to do to prohibit

Today marks 50 years since the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 came into effect - a proud legacy of the Whitlam Labor Government.

This landmark legislation was the first federal law in Australia to prohibit racial discrimination, helping to build a fairer and more inclusive nation.

Wrapping up an enriching three-day visit to the Federal Parliament of Australia 🇦🇺. It was a truly fulfilling experience to observe and learn about the Australian democratic process and how advocacy shapes community outcomes. I had the opportunity to meet and interact with many policymakers, MPs, and ministers — an inspiring experience that deepened my understanding of inclusive governance and representation.

Grateful for this opportunity to witness democracy in action and to share perspectives on community issues that matter.
