🐝 Last Saturday, Canberra celebrated World Bee Day at the Capital Region Farmers Market, Canberra!
It was truly a buzzing Saturday 🐝, with stalls offering delicious honey treats 🍯, a Traditional Slovenian Breakfast 🇸🇮, fun kids’ activities, and plenty of opportunities to learn more about the importance of bees from ACT for Bees and the ACT Beekeepers Association.
🇸🇮 Ambassador Marko Ham joined Cormac Farrell, Head Beekeeper at Parliament House Canberra, for an interview on ABC Canberra’s Saturday Breakfast with Emma Bickley. 🎙️
We are happy to share the interview as we celebrate World Bee Day today and recognise the important role bees and other pollinators play in our environment. 🌼🐝🌏

The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Canberra and Ambassador of Croatia, H.E. Betty B. Pavelich, hosted a farewell reception for Heads of Mission departing in the next tertial of the year, including the Ambassador of Slovenia, H.E. Marko Ham. 🇸🇮
In the presence of the Chief of Protocol, Jonathan Muir, the ACT Commissioner for International Engagement, Brendan Smyth, and fellow Heads of Mission who will continue their service, each departing ambassador had the opportunity to share a few reflections upon the completion of their term. 🤝
The gathering highlighted the strong sense of camaraderie within the diplomatic community and offered a warm and dignified send-off to colleagues concluding their missions in Australia. ✨

On 25 April, Australia 🇦🇺 commemorated Anzac Day — a day to honour those who have served and continue to serve with courage and sacrifice.
Ambassador Ham attended a traditional commemorative ceremony at the Embassy of France 🇫🇷, where he laid a wreath on behalf of Slovenia 🇸🇮.
