๐ค๐โค๏ธ All In for National Reconciliation Week
Today we celebrated our final Reconciliation Week Storytime at Stretton Centre Library, sharing childrenโs stories written by First Nations authors.
Children enjoyed Somebody's Land: Welcome to Our Country by Adam Goodes and Ellie Laing, illustrated by David Hardy.
National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements and to reflect on how we can all contribute to reconciliation.
This yearโs theme, All In, is a reminder that reconciliation will not happen by itself. It takes all of us, every day.
Thank you to everyone who joined us across our Storytime sessions this week, with children aged between 2 and 5 years old attending.
๐ Storytime happens every week at both the Stretton Centre Library and Playford Civic Centre Library.
Book your tickets for future sessions here: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/o/playford-library-service-8154956883

๐ The July school holidays just got a whole lot more fun!
AFL Max Skills School is back, giving kids the chance to build their footy skills, confidence and leadership on and off the field.
Designed by Head Coach Rory Sloane, the program takes a fun and practical approach to helping young players develop their fundamentals, gameplay tactics, teamwork and leadership skills.
Proudly supported by the City of Playford and Virginia Football & Netball Club, this school holiday session is a great opportunity for kids to get active, connect through sport and learn from AFL Max team members.
Whether your child is new to footy or looking to take their game to the next level, this session is designed to help them back themselves, support their teammates and enjoy the game.
