Hi everyone, Engagement Week is starting 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬 at the Ningaloo Function Centre, and we want to see you there – whether you're a resident, business owner, or part of a local community club.

We're reviewing the Strategic Community Plan, our Local Planning Strategy, and Local Planning Scheme No. 5 – three documents that will shape how Exmouth grows and develops for years to come. And we want your input to help get it right.

Exmouth is an extraordinary community, but as our town grows and changes, we need a clear vision for where we are heading.

⭐ the 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻, including the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆, and
⭐ the 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲

These plans guide everything from community priorities and services, to how land is used and developed across the Shire. And they're better with your input.

Over the week of 9–12 September, we're running drop-in sessions, workshops and focus groups where you can chat directly with the consultants leading this work.

As your Shire President, I want to make sure you know exactly where your rates go and why. Council has just endorsed the proposed Differential Rates for the 2026/27 Financial Year, and before anything is finalised, we need to hear from you.

We know the cost of living is hitting everyone hard right now. That’s why we’ve worked incredibly hard to balance those pressures with the reality of keeping our remote town running and continuing our cyclone recovery. The proposed residential increase breaks down to about $2.40 a week, but we want your honest feedback on it.
