🧡 Thank you to our SES volunteers 🧡
On WOW Day, we want to say a big thank you to the incredible Queensland SES volunteers who give their time to help keep our communities safe.
Here on the Gold Coast, our volunteers are there when it matters most — supporting the community through storms, floods, searches, rescues and emergencies.
Tonight, we’re proud to recognise and celebrate the dedication, commitment and service of our SES volunteers.
Thank you for everything you do 🧡

This National Volunteer Week, we’re recognising the incredible volunteers who make up the South Eastern Region SES family. 🧡
Every year, our SES members dedicate thousands of hours away from their families, jobs, studies and personal lives to train, respond and support their communities through storms, floods, searches, rescues and disasters.
No matter the time, weather or challenge, our volunteers continue to show up for their neighbours when they are needed most.
Their commitment does not go unnoticed, and this week is an opportunity for us all to say thank you to the amazing volunteers in orange who help keep our communities safe.
As part of National Volunteer Week, don’t forget to get involved in Wear Orange Wednesday, WOW Day, on Wednesday 20 May. Wear a splash of orange to show your support for SES volunteers across Australia and help us say 🧡
To every SES volunteer across the South Eastern Region and beyond: thank you for everything you do.

Wear Orange Wednesday is next week on the 20th of May, falling during National Volunteer Week, and we’re asking our community to go orange and show your support for the volunteers of the State Emergency Service 🧡
Whether it’s an orange shirt, socks, ribbon or hard hat — every splash of orange helps recognise the dedication of SES volunteers who support communities during storms, floods, searches, rescues and emergencies.
Snap a photo in your orange, tag us, and help spread the message of support across our community.
Together, let’s turn the community orange for WOW Day 2026!
