Media release:
Palmer’s $5m donation helping hungry Australians.
Foodbank Australia has delivered more than 2.4 million meals in just six months thanks to a $5 million donation from Mineralogy Chairman Clive Palmer, providing urgently needed relief to Australians grappling with the rising cost of living.
Foodbank’s Interim Report has shown that as of 30 April 2025, the organisation has used the donation to deliver an estimated $8.7 million in food retail value, generating a $53 million social return on investment.
The funding has had a direct and measurable impact, particularly for families facing extreme financial stress.
With more than half of food-insecure households regularly skipping meals or going entire days without eating, the support has helped ease pressure on struggling Australians by making food one less thing to worry about.
In doing so, it has allowed households to stretch limited budgets further to cover essentials like housing, utilities and healthcare.
The assistance has been especially critical for single-parent families, who are among the hardest hit. Mr Palmer said he was proud to see the difference the funding had already made and urged others to step up.
“I congratulate Foodbank on what they’ve achieved so far - 2.4 million meals in just six months is extraordinary,” Mr Palmer said.
“But the need is only growing, and this is just the beginning. By the time this program runs its full course, we expect those figures to double.
”Mr Palmer reiterated his call for Australia’s wealthy individuals, corporate boards and government leaders to increase their support.
"Foodbank is doing the heavy lifting in the fight against hunger. But they cannot do it alone,” he said.
“We must do more to ensure every Australian - every child, every parent, every grandparent - has access to the food they need to live with dignity.
”Foodbank continues to call for an additional $200 million in support to meet the increasing demand for food relief.
With hunger affecting more than 3.4 million Australian households, collaboration remains key to building a future where no Australian goes without.

Palmer calls for unity and equality
Trumpet of Patriots Chairman Clive Palmer has called for national unity, urging all Australians to honour the sacrifices of past generations while standing together as equals under one flag.
Mr Palmer said Anzac Day remained a poignant reminder of the price paid for the freedoms we enjoy today, and that Australians should never take those sacrifices for granted.
“We should all honour the Anzacs and be grateful for what they did for us to be here today,” Mr Palmer said.
“My family before me served in both World Wars and in East Timor. They gave more than I ever could. The reason so many Australians turn out for Anzac Day parades is because our families fought and died for this country.”
Mr Palmer said Anzac Day should also serve as a reminder that all Australians deserve to stand as equals, without division.
“As equals, we shouldn’t need to be welcomed to our own country. Australians don’t need to be individually acknowledged by people we don’t know and have never met. What we need is unity and mutual respect,” he said.
“We must respect all Australians and acknowledge the contributions made by people from every nation who have helped make this country great.”
“The Trumpet of Patriots stands for uniting all Australians under our national flag, the one flag that represents our common values and citizenship.”
“All Australians are equal under the Southern Cross. We are one people, and we should stand together as one nation.”

There are some people who somehow after everything that has happened still believe that the Liberal party is vastly different to Labor - this is a falsehood - make no mistake there is no difference between Labor/Liberal and on almost every single issue they are identical.
Both major parties are big spending, big government entities that love to censor the people. They both support Net Zero and the implementation of a Digital ID, putting the privacy and freedoms of everyday Australians at risk.
The mis/disinformation bill was originally a Liberal Party idea, and both major parties have recently voted to entrench the two party system through amendments to the Electoral Act. This is clear evidence that they have no intention of allowing any real competition or alternative voices to rise.
Both Labor and Liberal are beholden to international globalist organisations. They are the WHO, the UN, and the WEF’s best friends. These unelected, unaccountable entities have far too much influence on Australian policy, and it’s only through the duopoly’s support that they continue to push their agendas on us.
Let’s not forget: it was the Liberal Party that signed Australia up to the Paris Agreement, committing us to policies that threaten to cripple our industries and raise costs for hard-working Australians.
Both major parties have made deals that benefit global elites while leaving the average Australian behind.
It’s time to break free from the stranglehold of these two parties, who are more concerned with their own power and global agendas than with the needs of the Australian people.
