GET FIRE READY 🔥

Join us at our brigade shed in a couple of weeks to hear more about how we can collectively prepare for the upcoming fire season.

We will talk about some easy things you can do around your homes to get ready, as well as what to plan for in the event of an emergency.

This is a family friendly event so please pop down with the kids and say hello! The fire truck will be waiting for the littles to have a look at 🚒

Tonight we celebrated the many faces behind our local Great Western CFA brigade and the members who generously give their time, energy and commitment to keeping our communities safe.

Your willingness to drop everything, often at a moment’s notice, to protect lives, homes and livelihoods is beyond appreciated. We are incredibly grateful for your dedication and the sacrifices you and your families make to serve our community each year.

The Fire Danger Period across Northern Grampians Shire Council will now be lifted as of 1am Monday, April 13, 2026.

Please ensure you continue to follow safe burning practices as conditions around the shire are still very dry and will continue to present fire risks until we experience heavier rainfall and ongoing cooler climates.
