Rain , hail or shine , they turn up everyday with beautiful smiles on their faces knowing that they are going to make someone’s day ! Happy National Volunteers week !!

Great things have been happening lately for us here at Wynnum Manly Meals on Wheel, Getting the word out, at the local volunteers expo and also celebrating all of our wonderful volunteers in a upcoming story in a local paper . A lovely member of the public donated us some bread and goodies from a local bakery to give to our beautiful clients 😍 It was very well received by all and not much left over !! Hopefully we can do this again real soon !!

It was a pleasure today to have Her Excellency the honourable Dr Jeanette Young AC PSM, the governor of QLD , and her husband Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD , who jointly are the patrons of QLD. Meals on Wheels visit our service centre. They were only too happy to assist on plating line along with meeting volunteers and the team here at Wynnum Manly!

Our AGM was held this afternoon- great to spread the news of our activities. The full Committee was reelected for another year and we celebrated the dedication of our volunteers. Our special attendee today was Bill McFarlane he was instrumental in assisting Wynnum Manly MOW in getting our very own building many years ago ! But the real winners are our clients who receive compassionate and care from all in the Wynnum Manly Meals on Wheels family.

P.S Bill turned 100 in June !!
