Our school had two student selected to represent the SAPSASA Southern Valley District team - Samuel and Lenny.
They had an amazing week, learning a lot competing at the next level and making lots of new friends.
Lenny was hard at the ball all week, always popping up in the right places in his second year of selection and Samuel earned a reputation for having great hands after taking lots of great pack marks as one of only a few year 5s selected.
Southern Valley won more games than they lost and had some great feedback about their hard efforts at the ball and the teamwork they displayed!

Last term, our school participated in the SANFL Gather Round Schools footy competition for the second time. This year, our school was able to enter two teams into the competition - a year 3/4 team combined with Reynella Primary, and a year 5/6 team - which was fantastic.
Over 5 weeks, we played footy against other schools and finished with a Carnival (year 3/4s) and a game on Norwood Oval before the AFL match between Geelong and West Coast (year 5/6s). Well done to Declan S, Kye F, Kane G, Koa F, Ashton M, Spencer H, Harvey C, Mace B, Samuel C, Max W, Elijah G, Ethan G, Isaiah J, Henry S, Jamie H, Dylan G, Barry K, Hamish M and Zeke H for playing with great sportsmanship and effort, and thank you to our parent helpers Brett G and Keiran S for coaching.
