Our happy hens have been loving their sand bath and this warmer weather with plenty of eggs being laid.
If there is one thing our gardens at HVPS can grow, it is Silver beet.

We have 4 dozen eggs available and Silver beet, $1.50 for 10 leaves available this afternoon at Kitchen Garden Market from 3pm outside of kitchen or students or walking around.

🐣🦆GUESS WHO'S HATCHED?!🦆🐣

While our school community was enjoying the school holidays, we had 8 MORE beautiful ducking's hatch!
These little bundles of fluff have arrived just in time to bring even more joy to the final term of school.
There's something very special about sharing these little moments together as a school community.
Although we would love to keep all the ducklings, our orchard is just not big enough for 15 ducks, so the first 6 ducklings that were born last term, will be returning to the family that kindly donated Steph and Alex to the school.

Stars on Stage – Celebrating Our Students

Our students recently had the wonderful opportunity to perform in the Primary Schools Festival of Music: Stars on Stage at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

Alongside more than 1,300 Year 5 and 6 students from across South Australia, 11 of our students proudly took to the stage, showcasing their enthusiasm, confidence and musical talents.

The Primary Schools Festival of Music is a treasured South Australian tradition that brings students together through artistic excellence, cultural diversity and social inclusion. Experiences like these not only create lasting memories but also help students develop confidence, teamwork and resilience. Singing and music participation have also been shown to support learning by strengthening concentration, memory, listening skills and creativity.
This year's concert was a truly unforgettable experience. Audiences were thrilled by energetic guest performances, outstanding musicianship from the orchestra and troupe, and a vibrant repertoire spanning a range of musical genres.

We are incredibly proud of all our performers and grateful to be part of such a spectacular celebration of music, learning and public education. 🌟🎶

Panthers Girls Cup
On Wednesday 16 September, 25 Happy Valley Primary School girls from Years 3–6 competed in the Panthers Girls Cup — a round-robin football carnival designed for students who are new to football or have some previous experience.
We had two Year 3/4 teams and one Year 5/6 team, with each team playing four games throughout the day.
Our Year 5/6 team finished 4th overall, while our Year 3/4 teams were awarded the Sportsmanship/Fair Play Award! As part of the award, our school received 20 brand-new footballs.
It was fantastic to see all the girls improving their football skills with every game and supporting each other throughout the day. Most importantly, they had lots of fun and enjoyed giving football a go!
A big thank you to all the parents who helped transport the girls and came along to cheer on our teams. Your support was greatly appreciated.
Well done, girls! You should all be very proud of yourselves!

Parent Workshop Invitation: Wellbeing and Resilience with Madhavi Nawana Parker

We are delighted to announce that Madhavi Nawana Parker will be returning to Happy Valley Primary School to present an engaging parent workshop focused on wellbeing and resilience. Madhavi is a respected expert in this field and her sessions are always insightful and practical.

This workshop is designed to equip parents and carers with valuable strategies to support their children’s emotional wellbeing and resilience both at school and at home.

A group of year 5-6 students have been getting creative during their lunch times this term, bringing some much-loved storybook characters to life as Storybook Scarecrows to enter into the Royal Adelaide Show.
The students have created; Coraline, Grug, Winnie the Pooh & The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
From planning and designing to building and adding all the little details (with guidance from Wendy N) our students have shown incredible creativity, teamwork and persistence throughout the process.
A huge well done to everyone involved, please go visit them in the Goyder Pavilion

We have also entered into the School Kitchen Garden Competition. On Saturday Wendy and Jess will be taking our Harvest Basket and Patch to Plate entries in that will be on show in the same Pavilion.
Also don't forget to check out all our amazing OSHC Art Entries that will be displayed throughout the Goyder Pavilion as well.
