What a morning we had with the amazing support of Reverse Garbage. Students were given the design brief of creating something reflective of space travel or robots. The Reverse Garbage team provided the most varied repurposed materials imaginable and students got busy creating. Innovation was on full display and plenty of unwanted materials found a new purpose.

We were recently visited by the amazing team from TMR who engaged students in fun and dynamic activities to teach and reinforce important road safety messaging. We practised crossing roads with pedestrian lights or pedestrian crossings and tested our knowledge on the tricky wheel of questions. It was also lovely to have our adopt a cops with us to also reinforce the importance of being aware and safe when moving about in the community. Thanks, team!

What a wonderful morning we had celebrating Under 8s Day. Friends, family, visitors from the QPS and Hendra House enjoyed crafts, planting, biscuit decorating and physical challenges. Our amazing P & C then provided a delicious sausage sizzle to finish the event.

Huge thanks to Bunnings for supporting our upcoming Family Fun Day. We will be sharing an afternoon of crafting and games with families on Wednesday 10 December. Keep you eyes out for further details.

What fun we had at Harvest Cook Create last weekend. We were made so welcome by beautifully creative and friendly people. We arrived with worm juice and left with a variety of gorgeous curated items. We have new plants in our gardens, fresh produce to share and gorgeous pots on our admin counter. See you next time!

Remembrance Day
Hendra State School stopped to pay their respects today. Though young, our students can show respect by being kind to one another, helping those in need and working together as a community just like those who served in the past. We stand together and say ‘Lest We Forget’ so that we are reminded to never forget their bravery and sacrifice.

It was a hugely fun and messy afternoon at the Hendra State School Colour Fun Run last Thursday. Huge thanks to our amazing parents and the extended community who supported the event through attendance and prize donation. Students had a great time. We always love opportunities to bring our valued community together.

Hindus across the world are celebrating Diwali. The five day festival of lights is one of the most popular holidays in India. People celebrate Diwali with friends and family by lighting little earthen oil lamps, wearing new clothes, making sweets and lighting sparkles. A touch of Diwali came to Hendra today. There is much value and joy in the diversity of our community.
