We want to acknowledge and sincerely apologise for the experience at our community event on 25/04/26.

This was our first event, and we truly hoped to create something positive for our community. We planned, prepared, and paid for this in advance so that some of our most vulnerable could come along and simply enjoy the day. We’re deeply disappointed that it did not unfold that way.

We know many of you waited long periods and that the standard of service did not match what was promoted. We’re truly sorry for the frustration and disappointment this caused.

We hate having to do this and call out our own, but we need to stand with our community and be transparent about what happened.

The gas issue on the day directly contributed to extended wait times and, sadly, meant that some families went without. This is not acceptable and does not reflect the standard we set for our events.
We have raised all concerns with the vendors involved and are advocating on behalf of everyone collectively. We have also requested a partial refund, with the intention of putting this back into our community and toward future events with vendors who are better aligned with our values.

At this stage, we kindly ask that further complaints are not sent to us individually, as we are addressing this as one.

For those who raised concerns regarding the gas issue, we encourage you to follow this up through the appropriate council or safety reporting channels.

As a disability support provider, our priority remains supporting some of our most vulnerable community members, and we appreciate your understanding as we balance this responsibility.

We are committed to doing better and will look to hold another event in the future with partners who align with our values.
