Isabelle has been diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis a rare blood disorder On the 17th August Isabelle had a fall down some stairs at Thredbo.

She was OK just a bit of scratch and a bump on her head. On the 10th of September she had her vaccinations in preparations for school. On the 12th of September she was playing in the McDonald’s playground and came out crying, when comforting her Heidi noticed the lump was still there additionally it felt bigger. That week she also bumped her head at day-care, and her carers also noticed the lump.

Well today marks the 4 year anniversary of Izzys diagnosis
We are truely blessed that she remains ‘no evidence of disease’
Diagnosed with ADHD last year the medication has had a huge impact on improving her ability to learn
Her NAPLAN results where great with 3 band 6 levels. She only just achieved band 2 for writing and spelling which was expected
She was selected for tball and netball at school as well as the school choir
She is progressing well with dancing, gymnastics and swimming
She is skiing so beautiful as well and getting more adventurous again
She worked how to ride a bike
Medical appointments have eased as she was discharged from weight clinic and we are on six monthly oncology appointments
What a year!
So proud of her!

Appointments seem to be never ending. Today Isabelle had weight clinic which included Phyc dietitian and peadatrition appointments. She is doing well and has lost 3kg

She was a bit all over the place till her Ritalin kicked in!

Then we had oncology follow up which went well and she continues to have no evidence of disease

We have been struggling with getting her to have a fasting blood test so spoke to peadatrition at weight clinic and she agreed we could skip the fasting ones. So with my mums assistance we went to pathology and managed to get some blood taken today as well

She enjoyed looking at the fish when we where all done

Well is has been a busy few months with lots of appointments!
The good news she still has no evidence of disease :) which is great!
Izzy has been officially diagnosed with ADHD. She started Ritalin last week and have already noticed some subtle improvements. Tomorrow we increase the dosage so will be interesting to see what that does.

The next few weeks will be very busy for Isabelle. Today she is undergoing IQ testing, this will probably continue next week especially if she can't hold her focus.
Then middle of May with have our Oncology followup.
