We're back tomorrow and we're looking forward to seeing you all after the Easter holiday break.

What a wonderful first two weeks of Inner West Playgroup it has been. We're loving meeting everyone, with lots of familiar and new faces present. We love this community!

For your information, Hobsons Bay City Council are running a free First Aid Session for Parents of Young Children. This is happening on Tues Mar 17th from 10am-11:30am at the Civic Centre in Altona.
We know that this clashes with playgroup, but we also know that these can be vital skills to have, so we wanted you all to know about it.

We're very excited for our first Inner West Playgroup this coming Tuesday 10am-12pm at ChristChurch Newport (61 Mason St).

Hey Epic Playgroup Families,

We are so thankful for the ministry of Aaron and Julia and the team from West Gate Vineyard who have been running Epic playgroup for the past nearly a decade! Thank-you for your dedication, sacrifice, love and care over this time!

But the good news is that Epic Playgroup isn’t finishing, it’s just rebranding into Inner West Playgroup and shifting spaces. We at Christ Church Newport are so thrilled to be able to keep running this awesome playgroup. You’ll notice a couple of things might be different, but this is still going to be a space on Tuesday mornings from 10am-12pm to gather together, for the kids to have fun, for parents, grandparents and carers to be able to hang out and encourage one another. Part of the reason that we have changed the name from Epic Playgroup to Inner West Playgroup is that we want to honour the past, that this has been a part of our region for a long time and that there is teamwork happening in the continuing of this playgroup, while recognising that we come from lots of different places in the Inner West.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you all at our first playgroup for the year, on the 17th of Feb at 10am at Christ Church Newport (61 Mason St, Newport).

Westgate Vineyard Church will no longer be running playgroup at the RSL in Spotswood.

For eight beautiful years, our playgroup has been a Tuesday-morning pocket of life. We’ve shared first steps, snack negotiations, craft-table chaos, sleepy babies, tired parents, big laughs and quiet check-ins. It’s been more than a playgroup. It’s been a place of connection, encouragement, and genuine community.

We feel the finish of this season deeply. It has meant so much to us, and we know it has to many of you too. We’ve loved the stories, the friendships, the tears (not always the kids), and the joy of doing this parenting season together.

Parenting is no small thing. It’s a long road, and this little community has been a real village for many of us. We are so grateful for every family who has been part of it, and we’re cheering on the beautiful next chapter.

The good news is that playgroup isn’t ending. From this year, playgroup will be run by our friends at Christ Church Anglican Church Newport, who are excited to continue creating the same warm, welcoming, chaos-friendly space for local families. We’ll be passing this page on to them, and they’ll be sharing their 2026 plans here soon.

Thank you for the memories, the mornings, the friendships, and the laughter. They stay with us more than you know.
