🧠Keeping active helps keep our minds active too

Regular physical activity can support brain health, improve memory and concentration, and may help reduce the risk of cognitive decline as we age.

Healthy streets - Community voices

We’ve been out and about in Wentworthville, connecting with the community to learn what matters most about local streets, parks and places.

These conversations are helping shape future improvements in the area, making it easier for everyone to be active, socially connected and feel at home.

Thank you to all the fantastic community members who took the time to speak with our team.

Rainy day? 🌦️

Wet weather doesn’t have to mean less movement. Indoor active play is a great way to help children practice Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) like kicking, throwing, jumping or even skipping.

With the cooler weather settling in, International Day of Yoga (June 21) is the perfect moment to introduce mindful movement into your day.

Yoga is a wonderful way to keep children’s bodies stretching, strengthening and moving, especially when outdoor play isn’t always possible. It supports flexibility, balance, calm breathing, and body awareness all while increasing their physical activity time during the day.

Take this opportunity to try some simple, child friendly yoga poses at your service, such as Mountain Pose, Tree Pose, Cat-Cow and Child’s Pose.

Co-designed with consumers and staff, the resources aim to increase awareness of the support available for quitting smoking, including ni****ne replacement therapy (NRT), and help people take positive steps on their quit journey.
