Itching to get back out once the van is serviced and do some big projects again but it's nice to be able to help those who need it and end up finding like-minded, big hearted people along the way that just want to come together and help where they can, no matter the distance..
💪❤️
I appreciate the shoutout too, even with small projects like this as I'm forever evolving as an organisation, constantly meeting new people, learning about new resources and being in the right place at the right time to be able to take control of new opportunities to further extend my reach to those who need it most 😁
If you want change, BE THE CHANGE 💯
Update on the two young rough sleepers in Westminster people think are something they aren't.
A huge thank you to Brett from 's be Frank 2022 who kindly visited these two young people yesterday and confirmed they are genuinely doing it tough and are in need of help. He took them some much-needed supplies, and another generous person also dropped off a gas cooker.
Sadly, when I originally asked for just two warm meals, some warm clothing and cough lozengers or medicine, I was met with criticism from some people in a Perth homelessness group. That's disappointing when two vulnerable young people are simply trying to survive with very minimal.
The teenagers are currently sheltering in an abandoned building with roof part caved in that still has access to power and water, but they have no transport and very few possessions.
If anyone would like to help, this is their current wish list as I asked for one:
• Up & Go drinks, snacks, bread, sandwich spreads, tinned food, small amounts of frozen food, juice, cordial and drinking water
• Toilet paper, tissues, bin bags, soap, shampoo, conditioner, face wipes, insect spray, mosquito coils
• Tampons or pads, hairbrush, women's deodorant.
• Plates, bowls, cutlery, can opener, skillet, pots, frypan, tongs, cutting knife, cutting board
• Torch, batteries or rechargeable torch, Gasmate cooker canisters
• Socks, underwear, clothing (sizes 10–14), rain jacket, poncho, hiking backpack
• Blankets, pillows, first aid kit, cardboard to insulate the floor
• If anyone has them to spare: a microwave, camping fridge or bar fridge, electric frypan, lamp or even pushbikes or IGA or Woolworths vouchers or gift cards would make a real difference too.
If you can help with any of these items please, do get in touch I can connect you, they can't pick items up they walk. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make life a little more bearable for someone sleeping rough and would be appreciated. You never know what battles someone is facing.
