Town of Victoria Park Library The library offers a range of programs and events for all ages! Library membership is free and open to anyone.

This includes: permanent and temporary residents of the Town, local businesses, organisations, as well as residents of neighbouring councils. Child memberships are available to babies, children and young people under 18 years of age, who can join up and get their own membership cards. Applicants under 18 years of age require a parent or guardian’s signature and proof of address. Temporary membership is available to people without a permanent address. Your borrowing privileges are the same as regular members but you pay a once-off joining fee, which is refundable when you cancel your membership. Members can borrow a total of 20 items on each card at any one time. This may be made up of a combination of

-books (regular and large print)
-magazines
-talking books on CD
-DVDs
-jigsaws
-games
-music CDs

The usual loan period is 3 weeks. A second loan period is possible provided the item is not requested by another customer.

Nearly 1 in 6 children in WA are living in poverty, and 1 in 7 Western Australians are doing it tough.

To mark Anti-Poverty Week, we've partnered with No Place for Poverty to host the Power of a Postcard display at the library.

As you visit, take a moment to stop, read and reflect on the stories and experiences shared. Then add your own thoughts to a postcard and become part of a community conversation for change.

A familiar face is taking pride of place at the Town of Victoria Park Library ❤️

Among the artworks from this year’s Vic Park Community Portrait Prize is a portrait of our very own Collections Librarian, Angela Taylor.

Angela was chosen as the model by young Vic Park Library member Olivia, who entered the portrait in this year’s competition. We love seeing Angela celebrated in this way — and the portrait now has a special place in a very apt new home, the Library.

The Town is proud to sponsor the Victoria Park Community Centre's Vic Park Community Portrait Prize as a project partner as part of our commitment to supporting local art.

A selection of artworks from the Portrait Prize are now on display at the Library until 30 October.
