Well worth a read - if a federal government does not suit the needs of the people then which is more important to work for?
Salvaging Secession
The Founders understood union as a strategic necessity, not a moral imperative.

Signing this petition means precisely nothing. If we are part of Australia we must accept the decision of the High Court - no matter how little we like those decisions. The High Court has used its power time and again to send power and money to Canberra, and we canβt expect this time will be any different.

Wyatt vows to continue GST fight
WA Treasurer Ben Wyatt says it is ludicrous to suggest that an increase in the GST from 34c to 47c is a great win for WA

Says it all.
Today the Commonwealth Grants Commission released the 2018 GST relativities β WA goes from 34 cents to 47 cents; New South Wales from 88 cents to 86 cents; Victoria from 93 cents to 99 cents; Queensland from $1.19 to $1.10; South Australia from $1.44 to $1.48; Tasmania from $1.80 to $1.77; the ACT from $1.19 to $1.18; and the Northern Territory $4.66 to $4.26. Whilst the increase is welcome, this remains an unacceptable outcome for WA.
