Development WA shortlisted three proposals for the building beside the 53m chimney stack.

Two were hospitality-based and one was focused on the creative arts, which was Subiaco council’s preferred use for the site.

DWA officials chose a tavern with a distillery, which is out for public comment until next Thursday.

Let us know how we’re tracking!

The City of Subiaco is inviting community members aged 14 and over to take part in the 2026 MARKYT® Community Scorecard and share their feedback on the services, facilities and programs that help shape life in Subiaco.

The Scorecard gives residents, visitors, and business owners an opportunity to rate the City’s performance, identify areas for improvement, and highlight the priorities that matter most to the community.

It takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete, and also allows the City to track its performance over time, and help inform future planning and decision-making.
