Over 40 people at the Boorloo Activist Centre for a screening of the film 'Cuba After Castro', documenting the extraordinary creative resistance of the Cuban people in the face of a over 60 years of economic warfare by the US. The event was hosted by the Australia Cuba Friendship Society, with the support of Socialist Alliance and the Communist Party of Australia.

Socialist Alliance has been advised by the WA Electoral Commission that its registration application has progressed after the membership list and other paperwork that we submitted were checked and approved. Next the WAEC advertises the application for a month. Registration will enable us to stand candidates with our party name on the ballot paper in the 2029 state election.

It’s been a lot of work to get to this point, so a big thanks to everyone that signed our form and helped with the campaign. Recent changes to WA electoral laws have made it harder to register and a lot more expensive to stand. However, despite these obstacles, our appeal generated a lot of support as people look for an anti-capitalist political voice that stands up to climate destruction, genocide and the housing affordability crisis.

We have decided to run hard on the theme of 'Take Back the Wealth' and are gearing up to spread this message everywhere we can in the lead up to the 2028 federal election. Please get in touch and get involved.

At the Boorloo/Perth speak-out to condemn the kidnapping of the Sumud Flotilla participants by Israel. The degrading treatment of the activists who were illegally taken hostage in international waters is an insight into how Israel treats the many thousands of Palestinians it holds without trial. We demand that the Albanese government finally take some serious action, starting with the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador and cutting bi-lateral military ties.

More than 400 activists who were onboard the Global Sumud Flotilla have been kidnapped and detained, and are now being degraded and tortured by Israel.

Ben-Gvir, a far-right minister in the Israeli government is personally overseeing and celebrating their abuse. Included among those held by the IOF are 11 Australians.

We cannot be silent. We need to protest and demand their safe return and passage and oppose the brutalisation of these heroic activists.

We also demand that Australia sanction Israel: the Israeli ambassador must be expelled and the Australian government must impose a two-way arms embargo on Israel.

Every day, society's wealth pours into the hands of a tiny group of billionaires and we don't hear a peep from them or their media mouthpieces about poverty, war, the climate; they couldn't care less. Labor tinkers with the mildest imaginable reforms, and they are RAGING!

The class interests of billionaires are not our interests. Their corporate media aims to distract and divide us. Their minions in parliament do the same. Working people don't want crumbs, we made the cake!
