The new Duncraig Adventure Hub is officially open and it’s loaded with something for every age!

Skate bowls & pump tracks 🛹
Climbing towers & mega slides 🛝
Basketball, nature play & hang-out zones 🌿
And yes… even an outdoor roller-disco 🛼✨

Parents: tired kids guaranteed 😌

Congratulations to Bettina Gould for filling the seat in the North-Central Ward, a welcome addition to the council. It’s also good to see all the positions on council full again to represent the community.

Great visit to the Joondalup Men’s Shed on Thursday. A fantastic community space overflowing with knowledge and experience. Great to see all sorts of projects are built, from signs for community gardens all the way to classic car rebuilds. With a full carpentry workshop almost any idea can come to fruition! Well worth the $200 membership. ☺️

Thanks to Graham and the volunteers who keep it running and for the warm welcome! 🔧

The new pump track in Whitfords is now open!

A fantastic initiative to activate an unused space right opposite Whitford shopping centre . Huge thanks to Caitlin Collins for securing state funding to get this project off the drawing board and into reality.

We spoke to riders on the day and found some have come from all over Perth to experience this world class track, even those in their 60’s!. Fantastic to have such an active space right here in Joondalup! 🚲

An amazing citizenship ceremony held at Joondalup Resort welcoming 269 new citizens.
Special mention to 2 of our own Sorrento residents!

The Young community citizens of the year award 2026 goes to .madison and the Periscope Crew.

And the Senior Community citizen of the Year 2026 to Russell Wright for his many decades of service at the Sorrento Surf-lifesaving Club, who’s been a member since 1962!

Major upgrades to the shared path connecting Hillarys Boat Harbour to North Mullaloo are now complete. Primarily funded by the state government with strong advocacy from Caitlin Collins, it’s a welcome addition to helping the City of Joondalup’s residents enjoy the outdoors. We were joined here by Whitfords Parkrun, whose 200+ runners use this path every Saturday!

Always amazing coffee from Lot One! Once the silly season is finished I plan to set a regular time to be able to meet with residents over a coffee in the South West. ☕️

Attended a seminar on Electrifying your home yesterday, the benefits of switching from gas cooking and heating as well as the savings from solar, batteries and EV’s. This is a space I’m already pretty familiar with but it’s always great to hear the latest subsidies and technology becoming available.

A fantastic smoking ceremony on inauguration day, presented by the lovely Sharon Wood-Kenney. Looking forward to working with you on the Reconciliation Action Plan Committee.
