Wow! what a great day we had at our annual Macarthur Community Hub at the civic centre in Campbelltown.
We had 30 community services attend that deal with homeless, risk of and people in financial hardship. We had just under 300 people come through the doors and it was wonderful to be able to give away vouchers, food hampers, toys and many other things. This was also followed up by a sausage sizzle.
One of the many comments made was it was nice to get some free stuff but it was even nicer making connections with services that can help them in the long term.
This would not have been possible without the help of the Macarthur Homelessness Steering Committee, which is made up of 20 Government, Non Government and Community members.
