Mardi Gras was born in resistance to police violence. It shouldn’t become an enabler of police violence.

My case is a rare exception: a police officer being held to account despite a concerted political effort to spin the narrative in his favour. Even then, it took three months and enormous public pressure to get there. But we can do it again.

We need to make accountability for violent cops the norm, and we should not be forced to wait months for truth & justice to prevail. Keep the pressure up - cops and Minns are feeling the heat ✊🏽
