As a true born and bred island local, Izzy brings invaluable, firsthand knowledge of the island to the Horseshoe Bay Rural Fire Brigade. With a strong passion for the environment and currently studying for a degree in Marine Science, Izzy is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between environmental science and fire management.
The practical, hands-on training that Izzy will undertake as a volunteer with the Rural Fire Service will directly link these interdisciplinary skills, proving that protecting our community and understanding our ecosystem go hand-in-hand.
Welcome to the family, Izzy! We are thrilled to have you on board😎

What a beautiful morning today!
We all had a very productive time with Townsville City Council environmental restoration team showing us how to plant the trees that Council donated
Was quite emotional to watch the amazing pupils of Magnetic Island State School each plant a tree in the new Magnetic Island Magnetic Island State School plantation.
Thanks so much to Miss C for coming up with the idea
All the pupils and teachers for their hard work
