For 20 years, Play School presenter Teo Gebert has been helping kids 'imagine and play' Being the "silly one" on television is a "dream job" following a personal tragedy that changed the course of Teo Gebert's life and career.

Some, not all, bereaved families struggle with ghosts and ghouls, especially after a recent loss. And having kids in skeleton costumes may be the last thing in the world you want when you are mourning your little one. The hyperactive laughter of slightly scared, sugared-up kids on the streets can amplify your grief. It's ok to feel that way.

🕯️Do what you need to do, even if that's turning off the lights and hiding in the dark.

It's ok not to feel the fun, not take the joke and not participate. You don't owe anyone an explanation. If you think you do, just say, 'Halloween's not for me!'

Conversely, if Halloween is your thing and you love ghouls, ghosts and skeletons, that's ok too. You are allowed to have fun and continue to live your life. It doesn't mean you've forgotten your little one.
