💡 The future is bright for Willow Grove!

🏉 A $360,000 lighting upgrade is coming to Willow Grove Recreation Reserve, delivering safer facilities and more opportunities for local sporting clubs, residents and emergency services.

🚨 The project will see four new 30-metre lighting towers installed, with the improved lighting making winter training safer, support night games and provide better visibility when the reserve is used as an emergency staging area.

💬 Baw Baw Shire Council Mayor Cr Kate Wilson said:
"Investing in facilities like this helps ensure our smaller communities remain connected, active and resilient. We look forward to seeing the lights switched on and the positive impact this project will have for years to come."

🤝 The $360,000 project is supported by $250,000 from the Victorian Government through Sport and Recreation Victoria, $70,000 from Council, $30,000 from the AFL and $10,000 from local community clubs.

🏗️ Works are expected to be completed by 2028, helping ensure Willow Grove Recreation Reserve continues to serve as an important hub for its community for years to come.

Whether you love or hate Halloween, it highlights the great community spirit out there. Volunteers all over our Shire have organised events for their town it it was great seeing so many families out and about. Congratulations and thank you to all the organisers across our Shire.

What a community!!!
Thank you to everyone for coming and, mostly importantly, everyone who generously provided lollies/treats - you guys are amazing and what makes this event so much fun and special for the kids. Seeing all the happy, excited faces yesterday was the best. Enjoy the sugar rushes 🍬
See you all again next year 🤩

We visited Willow Grove recreation facility for the big announcement, but also spent some time with the Rec Committee looking at some of the issues they have there. It’s great that the Shire and the Reserve committee can work together to find some resolutions.

A Wilson-led Liberal and Nationals Government will prioritise fixing the intersection of Burke & Howitt Street in Warragul.

This is one of our worst intersections.

It's not only slow during peak school times, but it's dangerous.

Our team has a plan to fix this intersection, and with our 25 per cent regional infrastructure guarantee, we will get it done.

“Ohh what a feeling”
when your footy ground is getting new lights. Another one done, more grounds to go. Great news for Willowgrove.
