"English is my 3rd language I am scared and going through a lot. I have not experienced much empathy, but this lawyer he understood me, he had empathy for me, he took time to explain things to me and he helped me. He made me feel supported.

He is a good lawyer, the first person I feel really wanted to help me. I would like to have him again and I would wait until he is rostered next to have his help."

These words from one of our Evening Advice Service (EAS) clients who was supported by a volunteer lawyer remind us why this work matters so deeply.

We are privileged to have an incredible community of volunteer lawyers here at Caxton who share our client-centered, social justice ethos.

Our volunteers are at the heart of who we are.

Be a part of our EAS team and provide much needed support to our vulnerable Queenslanders.
