Exciting news – LED sports lighting upgrades at Williams Landing Reserve tennis courts 5 and 6 and Werribee’s Glen Orden Reserve oval 1 are now complete!
Delivered through Wyndham City’s ongoing Sports Facility Strategy and Outdoor Recreation Renewal Program, the new lights provide improved visibility for safer evening training and competition.
They also require significantly less energy and maintenance, which reduces operational costs and environmental impact over the long term.

Council is aware of community concerns about traffic changes at the intersection of Dohertys Road and Forsyth Road in Truganina.
As Dohertys Road is not a Council-managed road, all traffic management arrangements at this intersection including turning restrictions, lane changes, and signal modifications are reviewed and approved by the Department of Transport and Planning. These works are being delivered by a private developer in partnership with the State Government.
Concrete barriers have now been installed on the south-east corner of the intersection. Residents exiting the estate onto Dohertys Road will no longer be able to turn right — access will be left in and left out only, with signage in place to guide drivers.
I understand this is causing real frustration. Council will continue to advocate with DTP to monitor the situation and work to minimise impacts on the surrounding road network.

Wyndham’s walking and cycling network has come a long way, with 63km of new footpaths delivered through the existing Active Transport Strategy, helping connect more than 181 streets and improve access for around 18,000 residents.
Now we’re planning for the next stage.
Council is inviting community feedback on the draft Wyndham Active Transport Strategy 2026–2035, which will help guide how we improve paths, links and connections across the city over the next decade.
Better connected paths make it easier and safer for people to walk, ride or scoot to school, work, shops, parks and other key destinations while supporting healthier, more active communities.
Have your say by 28 June:

You may see a camera-mounted vehicle travelling along local streets in the coming months.
Wyndham City is undertaking a road condition assessment across the network until October.
It’s something we do every four years to understand what maintenance and renewals are needed so we can deliver safer, smoother journeys for our community.
