Today our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students attended Corrimal High School's Reconciliation Exhibition. Indie sang the National Anthem in Dharawal, and we joined in to help her sing the National Anthem in English in front of Corrimal High School students. We were then part of a special smoking ceremony and enjoyed watching high school students play the didgerdoo. Corrimal High School had then set up many exciting stalls for us to visit including cakes, a BBQ, rock painting, shell art, badge making and circus tricks. Some students were even lucky enough to see siblings, buddies and friends.

Last Thursday two of our school captains went to MCCI formally known as SCARF Refugee Centre to forward the proceeds from the CEPS Harmony day. We raised over $200 for this worthwhile cause and were gifted a certificate that is proudly presented in our office foyer.

Today our Stage 2 students walked hand in hand with our Aboriginal students to show our commitment to Reconciliation. Many hundreds of students, schools, community members and elders walked along Cawley Street to Bellambi Public School in the spirit of 2026 Reconciliation theme "All In". We were privileged to witness a smoking ceremony, many dance and didgeridoo performances, and some powerful speeches. This was followed by a BBQ and coming together of many different students from a variety of schools. πβ€οΈπ€
