গরমকালে এসি বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনা প্রায়ই ঘটে। এতে ছড়ায় অগ্নিকাণ্ড, মৃত্যু হয় মানুষের। কিন্তু এসি বিস্ফোরণের করণীয় কী? চলুন বিষয়টি অনুসন্ধান করি।

এসি'র দুর্ঘটনা ঠেকাতে হলে আমাদের রুমের লিকেজ লস কমাতে হবে। দরজায় ডোর ক্লোজার বডি ও সিল ব্যবহার করতে হবে, জানালায় ভারী পর্দা দিতে হবে যেন সূর্যের আল বেশি না ঢুকে। সেই সাথে দরকার ভালো ব্র্যান্ডের এসি ব্যবহার করা, যেটিতে ভালো মানের বিয়ারিং ব্যবহার করা হয়। একটি ভালো এসির বিয়ারিং চার থেকে পাঁচ হাজার টাকা।

ঘরে লিকেজ থাকায় এসিটি অনবরত চলতেই থাকে, কাঙ্ক্ষিত মাত্রায় আর ঠাণ্ডা করতে পারে না। বিয়ারিংয়ের অনবরত ঘূর্ণনে উত্তপ্ত হয়ে বিয়ারিং গলে যায় বা ফেইল করে, ধাতব তলে ঘষা খেয়ে জ্বলে উঠে স্ফুলিঙ্গ। একই ঘটনা গাড়ির ইঞ্জিনে কুলিং সিস্টেম ফেল করলেও হতে পারে, ইঞ্জিন ব্লকে অতিরিক্ত উত্তপ্ত পিস্টন গলে আটকে গিয়ে ইঞ্জিন বসে যায়। যাই হোক, ঐ স্ফুলিঙ্গ জ্বালিয়ে দেয় দাহ্য ফ্রেয়ন বা কুল্যান্ট, বিস্ফোরিত হয় গোটা এসি, ছড়িয়ে পড়ে আগুন।

এসির দুর্ঘটনায় বিদ্যুতের লাইন আরেকটা ফ্যাক্টর। কম বা অতিরিক্ত ক্যাপাসিটির লাইন/তার ব্যবহার করলে লোড নিতে না পেরে না বা বেশি কারেন্ট সাপ্লাইয়ের কারণে অনাকাঙ্ক্ষিত আচরণ করতে পারে যন্ত্রটি। নিজে নষ্ট হয়ে যেতে পারে, বা কোথাও শর্ট সার্কিট হয়ে ঘটাতে পারে দুর্ঘটনা। এটিও এড়ানো দরকার। দক্ষ ও অভিজ্ঞ মেকানিক ডেকে এসি লাগান। লাইনের ক্যাপাসিটি অপর্যাপ্ত হলে দরকার হলে নতুন করে লাইন করুন। সবমিলিয়ে সর্বোচ্চ সতর্কতার কোনো বিকল্প নেই

তাপমাত্রা ইদানীং ৪০ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াস ছাড়িয়ে যাচ্ছে। বাইরের তাপমাত্রা এত বেশি হলে যে ফ্রেয়ন আমরা সচারাচর ব্যবহার করি, তা আর তাপ ছেড়ে প্রয়োজনীয় আয়তনের তরলে পরিণত হতে পারছে না। ফলে এটির ঠাণ্ডা করার বা তাপ শোষণ করার ক্যাপাসিটি কমে যাচ্ছে, রুমও ঠাণ্ডা হচ্ছে না, ফলে চলতেই থাকছে এসি, এসময় গরম হয়ে ঘটাচ্ছে বিস্ফোরণ। এক্ষেত্রে আমাদের কুল্যান্ট/ফ্রেয়নের ধরন পাল্টাতে হবে। মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের এসিগুলোতে যে কুল্যান্ট ব্যবহার করা হয় তা বাইরে ৫০ ডিগ্রি তাপমাত্রা থাকলেও ঘর ঠাণ্ডা করতে পারে। ঐসব কুল্যান্টের থার্মোডাইনামিক প্রোপার্টিটাই এমন। আমাদের দেশেও ঐ ধরনের কুল্যান্ট ব্যবহার শুরু করা যেতে পারে। কিন্তু এ নিয়ে আরও গবেষণা দরকার।

রাসুলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম বললেন, তুমি বলবে-

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عُفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

উচ্চারণ : 'আল্লাহুম্মা ইন্নাকা আফুয়্যুন; তুহিব্বুল আফওয়া; ফাফু আন্নি।’
