Throughout this impactful month, Youth 3R Society worked from every possible angle to make this programme greener, more sustainable, and waste-conscious. As part of our sustainability commitment, we provided eco-friendly paper-made pens for the participants and actively conducted advocacy on green event management, promoting practical alternatives to single-use plastic materials.
During the Certificate Giving and Closing Ceremony, the Founder & Director Md Sazaratul Islam led an engaging session on Consumer Behaviour, Responsible Consumption, Environmental Pollution, and Sustainable Development Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), with the support of Md Rakib Hossen. The discussion highlighted how our everyday consumption choices directly influence waste generation, environmental degradation, and the future of sustainable development in Bangladesh.
We were deeply honoured by the presence of:

At Youth 3R Society, we emphasize that environmental pollution is not a distant issueโit is deeply rooted in our consumer behaviour. From purchasing decisions to disposal practices, every step shapes the environment around us. This campaign focused on connecting these everyday behaviours with real consequences such as plastic pollution, waste mismanagement, and ecological imbalance.
Through discussions, visuals, and data, students explored the realities of microplastics, their impact on marine ecosystems, and their entry into human life. We also introduced SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, encouraging them to reflect on their own habits and responsibilities as consumers.
To translate awareness into action, we provided each student with eco-friendly paper pens and bamboo toothbrushesโnot just as gifts, but as a message: sustainable alternatives already exist, yet remain underutilized. Alongside this, we displayed areca leaf utensils, jute-cotton bags, and biodegradable materials derived from jute, showcasing practical pathways toward reducing plastic dependency.
This campaign was not only about informingโit was about challenging habitual choices and inspiring conscious living.

On 1st February, Youth 3R Society, in collaboration with Young Power in Social Action (YPSA), carried out a community-based environmental intervention at one of Chattogramโs most iconic and crowded public spacesโthe CRB Area (Central Railway Building zone). Known for its lush greenery, historic railway heritage, vibrant street food culture, and daily presence of families, youth, and visitors,
During this intervention, our team engaged directly with street food vendors, shopkeepers, and visitors, focusing on one of the most overlooked yet critical issuesโ๐ฐ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง. We discussed the difference between biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste, shared real-life examples, and encouraged vendors to segregate waste properly at the source. With their kind permission, we placed awareness stickers at shops to reinforce these messages.
We also interacted with consumers and visitors, spreading awareness about plastic pollution and its long-term impacts on health, environment, and urban ecosystems.
At one of the most visible points of the CRB area, we organized a silent awareness presentation, holding posters that highlighted the harmful effects of plastic pollutionโletting visuals speak where words often fall short.
