Hello folks!

With scares of a, confusing, unknown and little understood 🦠 looming in the horizon and while us the English speaking 👉 educated, rich, super rich, elite blah blah 👈 huddle in our extravagance of vulgar, mankind demeaning show off parties, gayer holud, and weddings where billions are spent - sending each other only 📍 how rich we are 📍 messages, that we stop and reflect upon the poorest of the poor who have yet not come out of the mess the last two years had condemned us into.

Let’s think of feeding and clothing them 👉instead of each other👈. Despite all the rosy pictures portrayed - we have still not come out of the wood!

This isn’t the time to party or massage our over inflated egos - Please 🙏

More importantly thanks to our irresponsibility - it looks like we are in for a very bitter winter the likes of which my Guru (98 years old) Dervish Hossain Ali Shah Lyangta III দয়াল বাবা দরবেশ হোসেন আলি শাহ ল্যংটা ৩ - and if his words be true, told me in November 👉a winter of a kind Bangladesh has never encountered in its history👈.

Dear all!

A very good afternoon to all of you from Bangladesh.

Just a quick note to thank you all for joining the Gurukarjo Ensemble Bangladesh Official page.

GKE has had a busy couple of weeks with endless rehearsals, meetings, social interactions and engagement’s at the GKE Dham in Pallabi and elsewhere.

Our efforts are quiet and composed. Like the old adage - ‘when you do a good thing - you do not make a big noise’ - thus GuRuKarjo essentially means ‘work for the Guru’ or in other words - ‘work for God’.

Anonymity is therefore fundamental in our work - specially in works of charity.

Like the holy Qu’ran mentions - ‘in acts of charity - let not your left hand know what your right hand has just done’.

We believe that the only way to serve our omniscient and compassionate entity is to do everything in our day-to-day existence to work for humans - Mankind.

That kind of work - although may sound very simple - is actually rather complicated and difficult.

However we as Bauls believe that ‘all powers’ are within the human body - and through love, sacrifice, fellow feeling - and ofcourse Music - anything and everything in life is achievable.

We solicit your kind patience and understanding to our cause - and pray that you support us as best as you can within your abilities.

GKE is meanwhile planning a ‘Gratitude Concert’ for those that actively supported our program - helping you feed 450 during the worst of the pandemic lockdown in June-July 2022.

The concert will likely be held in the last week of January 2022 - and we look forward to welcoming all of you - and meeting you in person.

Date/Venue/Timings for Concert TBA.

On the 50th Year of our glorious independence - the culmination of a bitter and bloody War of Liberation - we salute you for reposing your trust, confidence, faith and love on the people of Bangladesh - of whom 90% are economically and financially marginalised, - often mistakenly tagged as ‘poor’.

Bauls meanwhile have always been termed as the ‘poorest of the poor’ citizens of Bangladesh.

Nonexistent- holding on to secular ideals in our work, music and lifestyle : Bauls are a fraternity- the likes of which is unheard of anywhere in the world.

We pray you join our fold and assist in anyway possible- to materialise the dreams of Fakir Lalon Sai 🙏

When he talked about ‘jogot Mukti’ - he really meant ‘Baul Biswa’ - - and that this world will surely be a Baul world.

Fakir Lalon Shah had addressed and provided answers to all our ‘millennium problems’ - and importantly- solutions - that too over two centuries ago!

Be it the pandemic to militancy to organised violence of all forms and human oppression and exploitation in this cruel world we have inherited - the microcosm for lasting world peace is actually embedded in the corpus of works of Fakir Lalon Shah - the only known secular Prophet of our times.

I wish you all wishes of the festive season, Merry Christmas and a very prosperous 2022.
