With great sorrow, we convey the sad news of the passing of Dr Abdullah bin Omar bin Muhammad Nasseef, a Life Board Member of the World Scout Foundation, former Board Member, and devoted supporter of Scouting.

Dr Nasseef joined the Foundation Board in 1990. He was also a long-standing Baden-Powell Fellow since 1982. As Chief Scout of the Saudi Arabian Scout Association and recipient of the Bronze Wolf Award, in addition to many other roles throughout his life, Dr Nasseef’s exceptional service and lifelong dedication to the values of Scouting have left an enduring legacy for generations to come. He will be remembered for his remarkable contribution and unwavering dedication to the spirit of Scouting.

We extend our sincere condolences to Dr Nasseef’s family and to the Saudi Arabian Scouting community and all who loved and knew him across the world, as we remember and honour his legacy.

On 28th August 1977, Bangladesh Air Force proudly introduced Air Scouting in our country. Since then, this day has stood as a symbol of discipline, adventure, and service to the nation. 🌍💙

How many times have been represented as children and young people hiking? How many hours of volunteer work were put into preparing trips, meals, activities, camping permits, etc.?

Throughout Scouting, there is a vast area that is submerged. This area hides all the laborious work, including collaboration among volunteers and Scout leaders, conflict resolution, teamwork, learning and training, educational methods, and so on... To the world, we wear badges and scarves, and we enjoy adventure, but underneath are many quality skills and values that make it possible. And even if they are hidden, they are there.
