You will always find someone starring at you in the streets of Dhaka. Someone walking by, or someone just sitting idle and watching you with an eagles eye. You will always be watched, thats for sure. I, sometime, feel a little confused whether to shoot who’s looking straight at me. But this time, I got this old man sitting on the luggage of a nearby book seller and reading his news paper in the middle of pedestrians passing by. Seeing me with a cam he was looking at me and I didn’t miss this chance of shooting this old man. I love shooting people who are taking a short break from their everyday works. Lovely!

This photo was taken in shakhari bazaar from old dhaka in Bangladesh, full of strange means of life. the diversity of profession, the variation in every lane and bi-lanes is surprisingly pleasing and eye catching. this place is one of the places surviving for hundreds of years, still maintains it's original taste and flavor in it's every turn.
Old Dhaka is beautiful. just like other ancient cities in any part of the world.

It was almost afternoon, hot and very sweating afternoon with burning sun above the sky. These foot over bridges are a relief to most of the people. Some of them crosses the road without risking doing the same on the street, and some of them use it just to pass their free time and watch the traffic jam on the street below.

Most tea stalls in Dhaka prepares tea from either condensed milk, natural milk or with no milk at all. This time when I stopped in a nearby tea stall while walking on the streets of Paltan, the tea-seller asked me to wait while he prepares the water and tea liquor.

You will meet many types of people in the streets on paltan, specially because of thousands of small offices in that particular area. People comes from many different places and you will meet their diverse lifestyle while you walk. Here, some people were having their afternoon snacks with singara, fuchka and sweets during their break in office.

This man, a random bookseller who sells secondhand academic books to students was watching me while shooting some road side book stalls, while other people were buying and selecting books from his store behind.
Taken from Paltan in old Dhaka.
