This conference is a part of Bay of Bengal Assembly: World Ocean Day 2026 Celebrations at Cox’s Bazar!
The ocean is the heart of our planet, but it is under threat. Join us this June 8th at the world’s longest natural sea beach for a day of action and advocacy. This year, we are diving deep into three critical themes: Fighting Plastic Pollution, Protecting Our Coral Heritage, and Saving the Sea Turtles of the Bay of Bengal.

THE EVENT LINEUP
1️⃣ 07:00 AM & 09:00 AM | 5K Run for Sea Turtles and The "Blue Wave" Beach Clean-up and Beach Walk
Where: Starting from Sugandha Beach, Cox's Bazar
Theme - Plastic: Let’s tackle the plastic crisis head-on. Join volunteers to clear debris and prevent microplastics from entering our food chain. and the 5K Beach Run for Turtles! Run to raise awareness for the nesting grounds of Olive Ridley turtles along our shores.
About the Event: 100 Volunteers can join for the Beach Clean-Up Campaign and Beach Walk. Every volunteer will get the Beach Clean-Up Campaign and Beach Walk Tshirt, morning snacks and cleaning gloves. and 100 runners can join the 5K Run for Sea Turtles. Every runner will get the Run Tshirt, morning snacks, hydration support and a medal.

Theme - Protecting Marine Bio-Diversity Through Pollution Mitigation and Coral Ecosystem Restoration
Engagement: Hear from marine scientists, experts, policy makers and youth leaders-on policy changes needed to safeguard our ocean.
About the Event: 100 youth and experts can join. It will be joined by Ocean experts from around the world. Every participant will get Session Materials, Conference Tshirt, Gifts, Certificate and snacks.
3️⃣ 06:00 PM | Sunset Melodies near the Beach: Rhythm of Nature
Where: Cox's Bazar. Exact Venue will be announced soon.
Vibe: A soulful acoustic session as the sun sets. Let the music inspire a collective promise to protect the creatures that call the Bay of Bengal home.

Mission Green Bangladesh is absolutely thrilled to announce that our Executive Director, Ahsan Rony, has been selected as a Mentor for the prestigious Youth4Climate Mentorship Programme 2026! This incredible initiative is co-led by the Government of Italy and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to empower the next generation of climate leaders.

Ahsan has been chosen to mentor and guide young innovators working on bold, scalable climate solutions across critical fields, including Climate & Environmental Literacy Sustainable Energy, Food & Agriculture, Nature Assets and Sustainable Consumption & Production.
This selection is a testament to Mission Green Bangladesh’s continuous commitment to locally-led climate adaptation and youth empowerment. As a mentor, Ahsan Rony will play a pivotal role in shaping impactful projects from June 2026 to December 2026 through knowledge-sharing, leadership guidance, and global collaboration.

We are immensely proud of this remarkable global opportunity to contribute to climate action and strengthen youth-led innovation around the world.
Note: It is the 2nd time Ahsan Rony has been selected as a Youth4Climate Mentor, following his successful mentorship in the 2025 program.

বাংলাদেশের প্রতিটি জেলায় সবুজের ছোঁয়া ও বার্তা পৌঁছে দিতে আসছে তরুণদের আয়োজনে দেশের সবচেয়ে বড় পরিবেশ উদ্যোগ! আমাদের লক্ষ্য-১০ লক্ষাধিক গাছ রোপণ ও রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ। বিশ্ব পরিবেশ দিবসে একই দিনে দেশের ৬৪টি জেলায় একযোগে হবে বৃক্ষরোপণ, মানববন্ধন ও সচেতনতামূলক ক্যাম্পেইন। এই বছরের থিম: “গাছ লাগাই, সবুজ বাংলাদেশ গড়ি”। আমরা বিশ্বাস করি-গাছ লাগানো মানেই ভবিষ্যৎকে রক্ষা করা, আর সবুজ বাংলাদেশ গড়াই আমাদের একমাত্র সঠিক পথ।

-১০টি স্থানীয় দরিদ্র পরিবারকে উপহার হিসেবে গাছ দেওয়া হবে

প্লাস্টিক দিন, গাছ নিন! চলে এলো "ভাংড়ি মামা'র ১ম অফিশিয়াল বুথ'!!

পরিবেশ রক্ষায় মিশন গ্রিন বাংলাদেশের সার্কুলার এনভায়রনমেন্টাল অ্যাকশন মডেল "ভাংড়ি মামা"। কীভাবে কাজ করে এটি? খুবই সহজ! আপনি আমাদের বুথে ১০টি খালি প্লাস্টিকের বোতল জমা দিলেই তার বিনিময়ে পেয়ে যাবেন ১টি সবুজ চারা গাছ। পরিবেশ দিবসের প্রাক্কালে ১ম ভাংড়ি মামা বুথ চালু হচ্ছে গাজীপুরের অপূর্ব নার্সারিতে।

কেন এই উদ্যোগটি অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ?
আমাদের প্রিয় বাংলাদেশ বর্তমানে প্লাস্টিক দূষণ এবং ক্রমাগত সবুজায়ন কমে যাওয়ার মতো দ্বিমুখী পরিবেশগত সংকটের মুখোমুখি। শহরের বর্জ্য আমাদের নদী, ল্যান্ডফিল এবং পুরো ইকোসিস্টেমকে ধ্বংস করছে। অথচ একটু সচেতন হলেই এই বর্জ্যকে আমরা সম্পদে রূপান্তর করতে পারি।

বর্জ্য থেকে সম্পদ: "ভাংড়ি মামা" মডেলের মাধ্যমে আপনার ফেলে দেওয়া প্লাস্টিক রিসাইকেল হয়ে ব্যবহারযোগ্য পণ্যে পরিণত হবে।
সহজ প্রতিদিনের অভ্যাস: পরিবেশ রক্ষা করা কোনো কঠিন কাজ নয়। আপনার দৈনন্দিন ছোট একটি পদক্ষেপই পারে আমাদের চারপাশকে আবার সবুজ করে তুলতে। আপনার ব্যবহৃত প্লাস্টিক বোতল না ফেলে জমিয়ে রাখুন এবং বিনিময়ে গাছ নিন।
সবুজ বাংলাদেশ: সংগৃহীত প্লাস্টিকের বদলে আপনার হাত ধরে যে গাছগুলো রোপণ করা হবে, তা আমাদের ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মকে দেবে একটি সুস্থ ও সুন্দর পৃথিবী।
