Our very own Team Anna Chaya โ€” the champions of ๐‡๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ณ๐ž ๐š๐ญ ๐’๐”๐’๐“ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“/๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” just made the entire SUST family proud on the national stage. ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฉ

Out of 60 teams from across Bangladesh, they stood tall in the ๐“๐จ๐ฉ ๐Ÿ– at Hult Prize Bangladesh. First-year students. A bold idea. And the courage to pitch it in front of judges, cameras, and a packed auditorium.
And then came those words from the judges - "๐™„๐™› ๐™ฎ๐™ค๐™ช ๐™๐™–๐™™ ๐™– ๐™ฅ๐™ง๐™ค๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™ฉ๐™ฎ๐™ฅ๐™š, ๐™ฃ๐™ค ๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™š ๐™˜๐™ค๐™ช๐™ก๐™™ ๐™—๐™š๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™ฎ๐™ค๐™ช."
That says it all about their dedication.๐Ÿ’›

Anna Chaya isn't just a project. It's sleepless nights, camp visits, hard research, and a genuine desire to build something that matters. And it's only just getting started.

To every student watching this โ€” this is what happens when you dare to try. Your university believes in you.

Congratulations, Team Anna Chaya. The journey continues. ๐Ÿ’ซ

Still trying to process everything.

From being a team of first-year students with just an idea, to standing on the national stage among the Top 8 teams out of 60 teams from all over Bangladesh โ€” this journey feels unreal.

Pitching Anna Chaya in front of a packed auditorium, national television, judges, and hundreds of people was both terrifying and beautiful at the same time.

One line from the judges will stay with us for a long time:
โ€œIf you had a prototype, no one could beat you.โ€

That meant a lot to us. Because behind Anna Chaya, there are countless sleepless nights, camp visits, research, rejections, learning, and a dream to create something that truly matters.

We know we still have a long way to go.
But this experience made us believe that maybe we are heading in the right direction.

Thank you to everyone who supported, encouraged, and believed in Anna Chaya. This is just the beginning.

Field Insights | Health Center Visit, Camp 5

During our visit to Camp 5, we spent time at a health center to understand how frontline healthcare services operate inside the Rohingya camp.

We observed real-time service delivery and the use of MUAC measurements to assess nutritional status, especially among children. It gave us a clear picture of how malnutrition is impacting the lives of Rohingya families and the urgency of addressing it with effective, scalable solutions.

Being on the ground allowed us to see beyond data and truly understand the human side of the crisis.

Field Moments | Learning from the Youngest Voices, Rohingya Camp

One of the most humbling parts of our field validation journey was visiting a childrenโ€™s learning center inside the Rohingya camp.

There we met some of the brightest minds and boldest dreamers. Their energy, curiosity, and hope left a deep impact on us. In the middle of uncertainty, they carry dreams that are powerful enough to inspire real change.

The most unforgettable moment came when they gathered together and shouted โ€œAnna Chayaโ€ with pure joy. It was not just a name to them, it felt like belief.

Moments like this remind us why we started and why we must keep going.

Field Insights | BRAC Shelter Visit, Rohingya Camp

As part of our field work in Ukhiya Teknaf, Coxโ€™s Bazar, we visited the BRAC Shelter Center inside the Rohingya camp to understand the shelter ecosystem and how resilient structures are built in such challenging conditions.

We learned about shelter design, construction techniques, and bamboo treatment processes that ensure durability and safety for displaced communities. The team also took time to review Anna Chaya and encouraged us to take this work even further.

During the visit, we explored innovative practices within the camp including a hydroponic house, mushroom cultivation inside tents, and other community-driven solutions that are creating impact at the ground level.

Experiences like this continue to shape how we think, build, and innovate for real-world challenges.

Field Insights | Nutrition Center Visit, Rohingya Camp

As part of our field validation in Ukhiya Teknaf, Coxโ€™s Bazar, we visited a Nutrition Center inside the Rohingya camp to understand real user needs, acceptance, and impact.

Our female Field Research Officers conducted two focused group discussions with mothers, adolescent girls, and women in the camp. These sessions helped us understand their daily challenges, nutrition practices, and their response to the Anna Chaya solution.

At the same time, our male team members conducted field surveys and FGDs in local tongs, households, and on the roadside to capture broader community insights and ground realities.

We are sincerely grateful to Ehtesham Sir for his support and kindness. He arranged translators, provided space for FGDs and surveys, and guided us through the entire nutrition site. We were able to observe the products, services, and delivery system provided to beneficiaries and received a clear briefing on how the process works.

This is where real innovation starts, by listening directly from the people we aim to serve.
