If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of misplacing or losing your Title Certificate, fret not! Here's a simple guide to obtaining a replacement:
Report the Loss: Head over to your local Police Department on the island and file a lost Title Certificate Report. This step is crucial for initiating the replacement process.
Obtain the Lost Title Certificate Report: Once you've reported the loss, your local Police Department will provide you with an official lost Title Certificate Report. This document serves as confirmation of your loss.
Visit Your Nearest Long Island Road Traffic Department: Present your lost Title Certificate Report, and they'll assist you in obtaining a reprint of your Title Certificate.
Reprint Process: The Nearest Road Traffic Department will issue you a reprint of your Title Certificate. Please note that a fee of $25 dollars is applicable for this service.
