One of the greatest privileges of serving as President & CEO of The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation is having the opportunity to witness, support, and celebrate the continued success of our former nominees. There is no greater reward than watching these outstanding young men and women transform their potential into achievement and seeing them recognized among the nation's most accomplished students, leaders, athletes, and citizens.

It is always a source of tremendous pride to attend national academic, leadership, civic, and athletic ceremonies and discover that former Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year nominees are not merely participating—they are excelling, leading, and distinguishing themselves among the very BEST AND BRIGHTEST our nation has to offer.

I was especially proud to attend the graduation ceremony of my alma mater, R. M. Bailey Senior High School, and witness the extraordinary accomplishments of Kevin Williams Jr., who earned the prestigious distinction of Valedictorian of the Class of 2026.

Kevin's achievement is nothing short of remarkable. By Grade 11, he had already completed six BGCSE examinations, earning all A grades, while also attaining the highest score in The Bahamas in BGCSE Mathematics—an extraordinary accomplishment that reflects exceptional intellectual ability, discipline, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Representing Yellow Elder Primary School in the 2020 Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Awards Program, Kevin distinguished himself as a scholar of exceptional promise and was selected as a Semi-Finalist. Even then, he demonstrated the qualities that define greatness—academic excellence, strong character, leadership potential, perseverance, and an insatiable desire to learn and succeed.

Today, that promise has blossomed into achievement at the highest level.

Kevin's success serves as a powerful testament to the mission of the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation—to identify, recognize, encourage, and nurture the future leaders of our nation.
